The set opens on the water: the cove with its pavilion out over the sea, the palapas along the beach, and swimmers crossing a deep green pool seen from directly above.

Then it goes underground and into the rock — a waterfall dropping into a still pool, two swimmers in a chamber hung with stalactites, a lit blue pool under a low roof and a wooden stair running down into a cave.

After that come the animals and the buildings: an iguana above a jungle pool, a green turtle over pale sand, and a stone hall among palms. The set closes on the evening, with the theatre filling and four musicians lit from behind on a dark stage.
